FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about In-Progress Product Support
This is my first time handing off an in-progress product and I feel uneasy. Can I still consult with you?

Please rest assured, even if this is your first time working with us.
A dedicated representative will carefully review your current code and challenges, and organize what we can understand even when documentation is incomplete.
Unusual, non-standard requests are also welcome. No one truly knows the one right answer—we understand that.
You are welcome to reach out for a consultation alone.

For handoffs, fixes, and incident response—what is the scope of work we can request?

We support mid-project handoffs from other companies or freelancers, pre-launch feature additions and specification changes, investigation and remediation of incidents and performance issues, legacy code cleanup and refactoring, security hardening, taking over operations and maintenance, and adding payments or external integrations to existing products—covering improvement and restructuring of in-progress and existing products broadly.
We can also handle web apps, business systems, membership services, e-commerce, and products involving API integrations, depending on your requirements.

How long does support typically take until completion?

The following are estimated durations by type of support (actual timelines may vary depending on code complexity, availability of documentation, and access to environments).

◆ Audit, code review, and improvement planning (diagnosis / estimation)
Approximately 1–2 weeks

◆ Emergency incidents and production issues (hotfix-focused)
Approximately a few days to 2 weeks

◆ Mid-project handoff + minor fixes (small scope, limited impact)
Approximately 2–6 weeks

◆ Mid-project handoff + feature additions and improvements (standard scope)
Approximately 1.5–4 months

◆ Mid-term improvement involving refactoring or redesign
Approximately 3–6 months

◆ Large-scale rebuild or phased replacement (including legacy migration and multi-system integrations)
Approximately 6 months or more (some cases may take longer)

◆ Ongoing sprint-based support (continuous improvement and operations)
Duration discussed case by case

Where appropriate for your requirements, no-code tools and AI-assisted investigation or implementation may shorten the timelines above. Whether such approaches are used is decided with quality, security, and maintainability in mind.

When we provide an estimate, we will present a clear schedule tailored to your project.

Can you improve or migrate products in cloud environments?

Yes.
We support improvements in existing cloud environments and migration or rebuilding on other platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
We also support adoption, migration, and streamlining of edge serverless environments such as Cloudflare Workers.
Of course, we also support development, deployment, and operational improvements on rental servers and VPS.

Can you improve integrations with existing systems and external services?

Yes.
We can add or fix API integrations with in-house systems and external SaaS, investigate integration issues, and address them in the way best suited to your product.

Can I request operations and maintenance support only?

Yes, of course.
We also provide operations and maintenance to keep existing products running reliably, including monitoring, incident response, security patch application, and performance improvements.

Can specifications change or priorities be reprioritized during support?

Yes.
We can flexibly accommodate specification changes and priority adjustments after handoff or during improvement phases.
Depending on the changes, additional fees or schedule revisions may apply. Please understand this in advance.

Can you support products that already have active incidents or bugs?

Yes.
We can support production incident investigation and recovery, as well as remediation to prevent recurrence.
After support is complete, paid maintenance contracts are also available upon request.

How do you approach security for existing products?

When taking over a product, we review code, infrastructure, and access settings to identify known vulnerabilities in dependencies (CVEs), weak authentication or authorization, and risks such as SQL injection and XSS.
For remediation, we apply OWASP-recommended fundamentals by default: HTTPS, password hashing (e.g. bcrypt), least-privilege access control, environment-variable management for API keys and secrets, input validation and output escaping, and dependency updates.
On the infrastructure side, we can also propose hardening that includes operations—firewalls and WAF, backups, log monitoring, and security patch application.
We prioritize measures based on product scale, industry, and regulatory requirements (e.g. personal data protection) and outline the scope of security improvements in our estimate.

Can you add or improve payment and billing features on an existing product?
If you can proceed with that, which payment providers can you integrate?

Yes, we can.
We support adding payment capabilities or improving existing integrations for e-commerce, memberships, reservations, applications, and similar billing flows. We design the billing approach for your product, then select and integrate suitable providers from major options such as Stripe, PayPal, and Amazon Pay.
We can combine cards, convenience store payments, bank transfers, and cryptocurrency as needed, tailored to your scale and how you operate, with security-conscious design and implementation wherever payment data is handled.

Are payment integration costs billed separately?

Yes, costs apply. How much depends on your requirements—for example, the scope of integration, the number of screens involved, and whether connections to existing systems are needed.
Our fees mainly cover implementation and integration work: selecting a payment solution, API integration, webhooks, handling edge cases, and verification.
Separately, payment providers may charge monthly fees and/or per-transaction fees after account setup. Our estimates itemize our fees; please refer to each provider's official pricing for their charges.

Can you add or fix recurring billing?

Yes, of course.
We can add recurring billing to existing products or improve existing billing flows for subscription services and similar models.
We will propose a billing design suited to your business model.

Can payment systems support multiple currencies?

Yes, we can. We design and implement multi-currency support across pricing display, checkout, and related flows on your product.
We can adapt to international rollouts and similar needs, including approaches that use each payment provider's multi-currency capabilities where appropriate.

We are another development company or individual—can we subcontract in-progress product support to you?

Yes, of course.
We are happy to accept subcontract work from development and production partners.
We can support a wide range of phases, including investigation, design, implementation, testing, refactoring, and operations and maintenance.
Please feel free to consult with us if you need to supplement resources or require specialized technical expertise.

If we subcontract support to you, what information helps things go smoothly?

The following information helps us collaborate smoothly. (It is fine if some details are missing at the time of inquiry.)

◆ Product overview and current challenges
What the product is meant to achieve and where you are stuck

◆ Repository and environment access
Source code, staging/production environments, and whether CI/CD is in place

◆ Technology stack
Languages, frameworks, databases, and infrastructure

◆ Existing documentation and backlog
Design documents, issue tracking, open tickets, and similar materials

◆ Priority scope
Incident recovery, feature additions, refactoring, operations and maintenance, and so on

◆ Desired schedule
What you want completed and by when

◆ Budget
Your expected budget range

If you have other requests or questions, please feel free to contact us.

What contract types do you offer?

We offer contract arrangements tailored to your needs, including fixed-price contracts and quasi-mandate contracts.

Do you require an upfront deposit (down payment)?
What is the payment schedule?

We do not require an upfront deposit.
In most cases, the payment due date is set approximately one month after delivery and acceptance (completion of inspection).
Depending on the project scope, we may also set payment timings using a milestone approach.
We are flexible and open to discussing payment terms.

Can I pay for development services using cryptocurrency?
